Brian Cox – Pop Star Physicist
You guys know how cool Brian Cox, is, right? You’ve surely seen his incredible Ted Talks. This one is my favorite:
But have you seen his turn as a nineties BritPop star? Because that’s one of the most important things about him TO ME.
Here is the video for “Things Can Only Get Better” by D-Ream, including Brian Cox (with an unfortunately severe haircut) on keyboard.
Here is a Top of the Pops performance where Dr. Cox has much better hair and style, but the song is pretty much unbearable.
You’re welcome, world.
BOHEMIAN GRAVITY!
This is a great scientific spin on Bohemian Rhapsody with great editing, great musicality, great science, and great wordplay! Thank you, A Capella Science! I am in awe of your ability to not only explain complicated physics, but to do so in rhyme (and in key).
This is on my playlist. That’s how great it is.
Bored? Here, watch this.
Not sure why this is so satisfying, but it really is.
Traversable Achronal Retrograde Domains in Spacetime (themarysue.com)
That’s the primary mode of time and space travel for Dr. Who, of course, and two physicists have now explained the science behind the TARDIS.

This is almost always an impressive photo.
