Top 5 Reasons to Try ‘College Station’ (the new Staff Gateway)

A big change happened on the Bowdoin website during the summer of 2016, one that went unnoticed by many on campus: the old Staff Gateway website became College Station, a new resource for faculty and staff to quickly access college information.

Why the change?
Digital and Social Media knew that the Staff Gateway page had become out-of-date and a new resource would better serve the campus communities’ needs. We analyzed internal site traffic and web searches and learned that the Bowdoin directory, faculty/staff digest, dining menus, and the events calendar were among the most visited areas of the campus website. We also knew of many other resources the campus frequently used such as webmail, Workday, Onecard, work orders, the registrar’s office, the academic calendar, classified ads, and many more. Using this data, we developed College Station, a one-stop shop for the Bowdoin community to access the information they need most often during their day.
