Taking a break from managing Bowdoin’s web site and social media, Holly Sherburne and David Francis shared an 8-foot table in Smith Union during the 19th annual Sunsplash craft fair. Both authors of books, their table displayed their works providing shoppers with some unique Maine gift ideas.

This fall David’s book, Haunted Bowdoin College, was published. The book is inspired by his personally narrated haunted tours of Bowdoin that he has offered over the past few years to Bowdoin students, staff, and alumni. In addition to offering his book David challenged shoppers to a haunted quiz, testing their knowledge of famous haunted spots and historical figures. Holly’s fascination with deciphering license plates led her to create a book about Maine vanity license plates and their meanings, and now a new license plate game and puzzle book. Owning a personal license plate story of her own, Holly fills the Maine Plate books with stories, trivia, and  license plate humor. Sound like the perfect gift for someone you know?
